Historic Downtown Escondido Mural Tour presented by MAGEC

Join us for a walking tour featuring murals in Historic Downtown Escondido. The tour features more than 40 pieces of public art, including some of the city’s newest murals and iconic pieces. Guests will learn about the artwork, artists, and Escondido’s commitment to arts and culture, while getting exercise!

Easy walk, with minimal elevation gain/loss. Caution required for sections of this route that are along busy city streets and alleys. Routes are wheelchair and stroller accessible, although some gravel alleys may require extra caution.

Approximately 1.2 miles 1 hour

Each tour participant will receive a MAGEC downtown walk of discovery map.

We believe that art should be for all and by all. Our team of volunteers engages with local artists and Downtown Escondido businesses to provide public art and outdoor gallery spaces for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
 
The Global Roots America Connects West Regional mural is a work of art showcasing the creativity of more than 1500 participants from America’s Western States, as well as paintings from participants throughout North America who chose to paint a tile in this mosaic. Each participant has contributed their own unique design to create a vibrant and colorful mural that celebrates their connections to the West. The America Connects West Regional Mural is a testament to the power of connection, collaboration, and creativity.
